Porto
Granite, river, and the slow shimmer of port wine. Porto rewards the visitor who takes their time — Ribeira at sunrise, Gaia in the afternoon, the Douro by the time the light turns gold.
Our city.
Porto sits on terraced granite above the Douro, and almost everywhere you stand, the river is in view. Most visitors race the city in two days; the ones we drive for stay three and use the third for the valley.
Our drivers know which Ribeira streets stop being navigable in summer and which side-roads above Vila Nova de Gaia frame the best photograph of the bridges. They know which port lodge opens at ten, which one opens at eleven, and why that matters.
This is wine country with a working port at the centre. We will pace your visit accordingly.
